Business-to-business Salesperson

Cox Cactus Farm is a wholesale grower in North Phoenix providing quality plant material and exceptional customer service to landscapers, nurseries, resorts, municipalities, and more throughout the Valley and beyond. We are a fast-growing company seeking an individual to join our stellar sales team and support our ongoing sales and marketing efforts.

The right candidate for this position will be:

  • An energetic self-starter highly motivated by sales goals
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task and prioritize
  • Friendly, pleasant, and upbeat
  • Ability to thrive and participate in a jovial, light-hearted, and sociable working environment

This is a business-to-business sales position; we do not sell to the retail public. This position does not handle any plant material past taking pictures requested by our customers. We are not necessarily looking for anyone with landscape or landscape design knowledge or someone with a “green thumb,” though these qualities would be favorable. We are seeking a SALESPERSON who enjoys selling and providing the best customer service — we can teach you the rest.

Daily duties include:

  • Field customer questions and orders via email or phone and respond in a timely manner. This may include providing pricing and availability as well as emailing pictures.
  • Make sales calls and follow-up sales calls to potential and current customers.
  • Help walk-in customers with plant selection in the yard, if needed.
  • Stay abreast of our current plant inventory so that you can speak knowledgeably to customers about quality and availability.
  • Create orders in Quickbooks to provide outside co-workers with lists of plants to pull and load for our customers.

Requirements:

  • Ability to identify some plants is a must
  • Ability and willingness to learn plant identification is a must
  • Ability to understand and speak Spanish is preferred
  • Experience in the nursery or landscaping industries is a must
  • Knowledge of QuickBooks is a plus

A typical work week is Monday through Friday with seasonal hours from 6am to 2:30pm in the Summer and 7am to 3:30pm in the Winter. This position does require time spent outside in the nursery year-round.

This is a full-time position with compensation based on experience.

If you feel you are the right candidate for this position and can meet all the requirements listed above, please email your resume to Jessica at jessica@coxcactusfarm.com or fax it to 480-336-2933. You may also contact Jessica at 480-220-1848.
